Australia Gold Coast Sea World Entry Tickets Overview

Sea World is a marine-themed park at Seaworld Drive in Main Beach on the northern Gold Coast, approximately 20 minutes from Surfers Paradise. Open since 1971, it combines a working marine park with theme park rides, live shows and up-close animal experiences. It is one of three major theme parks on the Gold Coast operated by Village Roadshow Theme Parks.

The marine life side of Sea World is central to the experience. The Dolphin Cove area provides daily dolphin shows and presentations. Penguin Point houses a colony of king and macaroni penguins in a climate-controlled habitat. The Antarctic habitat contains polar bears. Sea Life elements throughout the park give views of sharks, rays, sea turtles and tropical species. The Shark Bay walk-through lets visitors view grey reef sharks and other pelagic species from directly beside and above the water.

The thrill ride lineup centres on Jet Rescue, a high-speed launch coaster designed around a sea rescue storyline. Storm Coaster is a water-launch coaster. The Sky Fortress is a suspended aerial experience giving views across the park and the Broadwater. Viking's Revenge is a family flume ride. For younger children, the Nickelodeon zone contains gentler rides themed around the franchise. Sea World is open daily with last admission one hour before closing. The park is closed Christmas Day.
