Australia Melbourne Skydeck Entry Tickets Overview

Melbourne Skydeck sits on the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower at 7 Riverside Quay in Southbank, on the banks of the Yarra River and a short walk from Federation Square and Flinders Street Station. At 297 metres above sea level, it is the highest observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere. The building, completed in 2006, is one of the tallest residential towers in the world and immediately identifiable on the Melbourne skyline by its gold-topped crown.

The main observation deck wraps around the 88th floor with floor-to-ceiling glass panels providing an unobstructed 360-degree view. On clear days the view extends across the CBD grid and Yarra River in all directions, south toward the Dandenong Ranges, north toward the Macedon Ranges, east toward the Yarra Valley and west across Port Phillip Bay to the Bellarine Peninsula. Interpretive panels on the deck identify key landmarks across all four directions.

The optional Edge experience is a separate glass cube that extends outward from the building on a track, suspending visitors in a glass box over the street 300 metres below. The cube is translucent on approach and becomes clear once fully extended. Bar 88 on the observation level offers drinks and light food with views across the city. The Voyager Theatre, a virtual reality experience, operates alongside the main deck.
