Dubai Safari Park is the UAE's largest wildlife park, occupying 119 hectares of purpose-built conservation landscape in the Al Warqa 5 district of Dubai, located just 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai and 15 minutes from Dubai International Airport along the E44 Hatta Road opposite Dragon Mart. Opened in 2017 as the successor to the historic Dubai Zoo, the park was designed from its foundations as a conservation-first wildlife destination prioritizing spacious open habitats, authentic safari experiences, and genuine educational engagement over the conventional zoo model.
The park is organized across six themed zones, each recreating a distinct ecosystem or geographic region. African Village houses African elephants, giraffes, zebras, white rhinoceroses, meerkats, and African savannah species in expansive open habitats. Asian Village features tigers, orangutans, Komodo dragons, sun bears, and Indian elephants. Explorer Village provides the main interactive zone including the giraffe feeding platform, lemur encounters, and the Explorer Safari Tour departure point. Arabian Village showcases species native to the UAE and Arabian Peninsula. Al Wadi is a lush botanical and cultural zone. Kids Farm provides a dedicated petting and interaction area for younger visitors.
Two safari experiences are available. The Arabian Desert Safari is a 15-minute guided desert safari included in the standard Safari Park Pass, traveling through the park's recreated desert environment. The Explorer Safari Tour is a 35-minute guided open-vehicle safari available as a standalone upgrade or part of the Safari Bundle, providing closer range access to the African and Asian zones. Daily feeding sessions are scheduled for giraffes, goats, lemurs, and other species. Live shows include the Birds of Prey show, the Echoes of Wild environmental awareness show, and the Sunset Birds of Prey show. All connected by a shuttle train.
Know Before You Go
Arrive at 09:00 when the park opens as animals are most active in the early morning hours before the midday heat, and the shuttle train and safari tour queues are at their shortest at opening
Book your tickets online through dubaisafari.ae as online booking is cheaper than gate purchase and secures your preferred date, which is particularly important on weekends when the park draws significantly larger crowds
Note that outside food and beverages, glass items, alcohol, balloons, drones, and wheeled bags are strictly prohibited throughout the park

By car, free parking is available across three parking areas with EV charging at P1. By taxi or Grab from Downtown Dubai the journey takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. The nearest metro station is Centerpoint on the Green Line for onward bus or taxi connection.
