Museum of the Future Entry Tickets Overview
Opened on 22 February 2022 along Sheikh Zayed Road in the heart of Dubai's Financial District, the Museum of the Future is the flagship project of the Dubai Future Foundation and one of the most extraordinary cultural buildings in the world. Designed by architect Shaun Killa of Killa Design and engineered by Buro Happold, the structure is a 77-metre steel and glass torus shape, a building with no straight edges and no conventional structure, its entire exterior surface covered with 1,024 glass-reinforced concrete facade panels engraved with three quotes from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in flowing Arabic calligraphy. The building's form is symbolic: the green mound at the base represents the earth and human foundations, the torus shape represents humanity's creativity and innovation, and the central void represents the unknown future, open and unwritten.
The visitor experience is designed as a top-down journey beginning on the 5th floor and descending through six floors of immersive, multi-sensory exhibitions. On the 5th floor, O.S.S. Hope transports visitors to an orbital space station 600 kilometres above earth in the year 2071, exploring interplanetary resource development, orbital energy systems, and the role of space in addressing earth's crises. The 4th floor FEW and Far Between examines the future of food, water, and energy in a world of resource scarcity. The 3rd floor Al Waha is a meditative sanctuary exploring consciousness, wellness, and the future of the mind. The 2nd floor Tomorrow Today addresses emerging technologies and their impact on daily life. The Heal Institute on the 2nd floor focuses on the future of healthcare, bioengineering, and longevity. The ground floor Future Heroes provides an engaging interactive environment for younger visitors.
