The BuildIt construction exhibit recreates a scaled-down neighbourhood construction site complete with walls to build, ramps to assemble and materials to sort. Children put on hard hats and work alongside each other in an environment that builds spatial thinking and collaborative skills through direct physical experience. The Kovler Family Climbing Schooner is a three-storey climbing structure themed as an old sailing ship with nets, tubes and platforms to explore.
The WaterWays water play area allows children to manipulate the flow of water through channels, locks and gates in a scientific play environment. The Tinkering Lab is a creative studio where children build, test and redesign their own inventions. Treehouse Trails explores nature and the outdoors through sensory and imaginative play. The museum runs family programming throughout the week including themed activity sessions and special events.
