The Grand Reef is Discovery Cove's signature snorkeling experience, a vast artificial lagoon housing thousands of tropical fish, stingrays, and gentle sharks in warm flowing water. All snorkel gear and instruction are included and no prior experience is required. The reef has shallow areas for beginners and deeper passages for confident swimmers. Life vests are available for non-swimmers. It is considered one of the best non-ocean snorkeling experiences in Florida.

Every Discovery Cove ticket covers continental breakfast, gourmet buffet lunch, unlimited snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, select beer and wine for guests 21 and over, mask and snorkel, wetsuit or swim vest, towels, lockers, beach umbrellas, sun loungers, hammocks, animal-safe sunscreen, and self-parking. The Signature Dolphin Swim is included in the Dolphin Swim package and not in the Day Resort package. The only additional costs are optional upgrades such as professional photography packages.

Children must be at least 6 years old and 42 inches tall to participate in the Signature Dolphin Swim. Children aged 3 to 5 are not eligible regardless of height. The swim takes place in waist-high water and non-swimmers can participate as marine specialists provide full guidance and life vests are available. Guests aged 2 and under receive free admission with a full-price adult ticket but require a reservation.

Yes. Discovery Cove is certified as an Autism Center by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards. Wheelchair access is available throughout. Guests who cannot participate in the dolphin swim can observe the Dolphin Lagoon from poolside viewing areas. Life vests and swim aids are provided free throughout the park.

Yes. Most Discovery Cove packages include 14 consecutive days of unlimited admission to SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando surrounding your visit date. The Ultimate Package adds Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and free parking at all featured parks. The 14-day window activates on the first day you visit any of the included parks, which can be before or after your Discovery Cove date.

Book as early as possible. Discovery Cove's daily capacity of approximately 1,300 guests means peak dates during summer and school holidays sell out weeks or months in advance. Dolphin swim slots fill first. Early booking also locks in better pricing. Walk-up admission is not available under any circumstances.

Explorer's Aviary is a walk-through free-flight tropical bird habitat where hundreds of exotic bird species fly freely throughout the space. Guests hand-feed the birds using food cups provided at the entrance, and the birds regularly land on hands, shoulders, and heads throughout the visit. The aviary is open throughout the day with no time limit and is included with every ticket at no additional charge.

Yes. The Day Resort ticket provides full all-inclusive access to every area of the park including the Grand Reef, Explorer's Aviary, Freshwater Oasis, Wind-Away River, and Serenity Bay beach, along with all meals, beverages, and equipment. It is the recommended option for families with children under 6, who are not eligible for the dolphin swim due to age and height requirements.
