Know Before You Go Singapore and Malaysia Explorer
Visa: Indian passport holders need a Singapore Tourist Visa (apply online; fees apply) and a Malaysia eNTR (free, self-applied at malaysiaeNTR.com). Apply at least 2 weeks before travel.
Currency: Carry Singapore Dollars (SGD) for Singapore and Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) for Malaysia. Exchange at Changi Airport or use local ATMs for competitive rates.
Climate: Both countries are tropical year-round. Expect heat and humidity. November to February is ideal with slightly less rainfall. Carry light cottons and a compact umbrella.
Dress Code: Modest clothing is required at Batu Caves and Kek Lok Si Temple. Carry a scarf or stole. Most beach and city areas are casual.
Food: Excellent vegetarian options are available across both countries. Halal food is widely available in Malaysia. Little India in Singapore and Brickfields in KL are great for South Indian meals.
