Mauritius Enchanted Escape Highlights
Mauritius Enchanted Escape Overview
Mauritius is not one destination but several layered into one compact island. The north and east are defined by long white-sand beaches and the glittering Ile aux Cerfs lagoon, reached by private speedboat as part of this package. The capital, Port Louis, holds the island's history in its markets, colonial forts, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site that tells the story of indentured labour migration across the Indian Ocean.
The south is where Mauritius reveals its volcanic origins. The Valley of Colors, Trou aux Cerfs crater, and the sacred Hindu lake at Grand Bassin form a landscape unlike anywhere else in the Indian Ocean region, connecting ancient geology with living spiritual tradition in a single full-day circuit.
One full day is deliberately left open. Port Louis's Central Market is a short cab ride away and worth a morning on your own terms: local handicrafts, Mauritian street food, and the kind of unhurried island browsing that package itineraries usually schedule out. That time belongs entirely to you.
Throughout the journey, all transfers run on a private sedan basis, daily breakfast is included, and the airport pickup and drop are taken care of at both ends. Visa assistance is available through Poketix; visa charges are not included in the package price.
Mauritius Enchanted Escape Itinerary
A cab picks you up from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport and drives you to your accommodation for check-in. The rest of the day is free to settle in and let the island ease you into its pace. Overnight in Mauritius.
A cab picks you up in the morning and drives you to the jetty, where a speedboat carries you across the sparkling Indian Ocean lagoon to Ile aux Cerfs, one of Mauritius's most celebrated island escapes, known for its powder-white beaches and clear turquoise waters. Spend the day on the island before a cab returns you to your hotel in the evening. Overnight in Mauritius.
A cab picks you up for a full day of exploration in the northern part of the island, starting with Port Louis where you visit the historic Fort Adelaide, also known as the Citadel, and the Aapravasi Ghat Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that documents the history of indentured labour migration across the Indian Ocean. A cab brings you back for overnight stay.
A cab takes you through the dramatic volcanic landscape of southern Mauritius, beginning at the Valley of Colors where ancient lava flows have left the earth in vivid natural shades, continuing to the dormant Trou aux Cerfs crater with its panoramic island views, and on to Grand Bassin, a sacred Hindu lake nested inside a volcanic crater and presided over by a commanding Shiva statue. A cab returns you to your hotel for overnight stay.
The day is entirely yours. Head into Port Louis independently and spend time in the Central Market browsing local handicrafts, picking up souvenirs, and trying authentic Mauritian street food at your own pace, or simply stay back at the hotel and enjoy the beach. Head back whenever you are ready. Overnight in Mauritius.
After breakfast and check-out, a cab picks you up and drives you to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your Mauritius journey.
