Bali Luxe Escape Highlights
Bali Luxe Escape Overview
Kuta opens the trip on island time. Two nights by the coast give enough room to settle in: a quiet century-old Buddhist temple, a clean stretch of beach away from the crowds, and a night market for the first taste of Balinese street food. There is no rush here, just enough motion to shake off the flight.
From the coast, the trip turns toward Bali's spiritual side. South Bali's sightseeing day pairs water sports at Tanjung Benoa with the cliffside drama of Uluwatu Temple, closing with a Kecak fire dance against the sunset, a fitting handover from Kuta's beach energy to Ubud's slower, deeper pace.
Ubud holds the next four nights, and it earns them. A waterfall, a sacred spring temple, and a royal palace fill the transfer day alone. Mornings climb: first Mount Batur before sunrise, then Mount Agung's temple circuit at Besakih and Lempuyang, each one trading altitude for a wider view of the island.
The final stretch slows everything down. A Balinese spa session loosens the legs before an unhurried day exploring Ubud on foot, monkey forest, ancient cave carvings, a quiet art gallery, until it's time to check out and head back to Ngurah Rai for the flight home.
Bali Luxe Escape Itinerary
A cab picks you up from the airport and takes you to your hotel in Kuta. Check in and rest, or step out at your own pace. The Vihara Dharmayana Temple is a quiet Buddhist sanctuary over two centuries old, and Gunung Payung Beach offers clear water away from the crowds. Mal Bali Galeria and the Kuta Night Market round off the evening before you return to the hotel for the night.
The morning takes you to Tanjung Benoa Beach, where parasailing and jet skiing are on offer for anyone keen on the water. From there, Uluwatu Temple sits dramatically on a sea cliff with views that stretch across the ocean. As the sun goes down, the Kecak Dance brings Balinese folklore to life against the sunset. A cab takes you back to the hotel for the night.
After checking out of Kuta, a cab drives you inland to Ubud. Check in and settle in for a while. Tegenungan Waterfall sits surrounded by dense jungle, and Tirta Empul Temple is where locals still perform purification rituals at its sacred spring. Ubud Palace closes out the day with a look at traditional Balinese architecture before you head back to the hotel for the night.
Early morning, a cab takes you to the base of Mount Batur for the trek up. The climb runs two to three hours through volcanic terrain, with the landscape opening up as you climb higher. At the summit, sunrise breaks over Mount Agung with the volcanic lake spread out below. After taking in the views, you descend to the base and a cab brings you back to the hotel for the night.
The morning starts with a drive out to Mount Agung. Pura Besakih, Bali's Mother Temple, spreads across twenty-two temples over six terraces and is the largest and holiest temple complex on the island. From there, Lempuyang Temple's Heaven's Gate frames a striking view of Mount Agung in the distance. The day continues at Penglipuran Village, a traditional Balinese settlement, before a cab takes you back to the hotel for the night.
The morning opens with a Balinese spa session built on techniques passed down for generations. After that, the rest of the day is yours to explore Ubud at your own pace. The Ubud Monkey Forest is home to hundreds of long-tailed macaques, and Goa Gajah, the ninth century Elephant Cave, carries intricate rock carvings worth slowing down for. The Komaneka Fine Art Gallery and Pura Taman Saraswati Temple are both an easy walk away before you make your own way back to the hotel for the night.
Check out of your hotel in the morning, and a cab takes you to Ngurah Rai International Airport for your onward flight home. This marks the end of your Bali journey.
